Purpose
The Host is responsible for welcoming guests to Marina Bar & Grill Restaurant, managing reservations, coordinating seating, and ensuring a smooth and exceptional dining experience from arrival to departure.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide an excellent first impression of the restaurant.

Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.

Maintain accurate waitlists and manage table assignments efficiently.

Communicate guest needs and special requests to the service team.

Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

Assist servers and management as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Attend team meetings, trainings, and briefings as required.

Recommend improvements to guest flow, efficiency, and service procedures.

Must be able to work outside in the natural element, rain, heat, cold and wind.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or restaurant operations is a plus.
Required Skills

Basic computer skills for reservation and point-of-sale systems.
Physical Requirements

Work is primarily performed outside in the natural elements.

Must be comfortable working in heat and humidity.

Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch as needed throughout the shift.

Ability to lift and carry items up to 25–30 lbs. occasionally.
