A reputable manufacturing company is seeking a Grinder/ Entry Level Welder to join its team. New hires will start in a grinding and materials preparation role to learn company processes, safety standards, and production workflow. The company provides structured, hands-on training, with the opportunity to advance into a welding role as skills and proficiency are demonstrated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, and machine building components according to specifications.
- Perform welding tasks on 14- and 16-gauge materials.
- Use grinders, air power tools, and other hand tools to prepare and finish materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Measure, cut, and fit parts using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Cross-train in multiple production areas, including grinding and setup.
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in welding, operating machinery, or a related field.
- Background in installation, metal fabrication, or commercial construction is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately.
- Proficient with grinders, welding equipment, and air power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Must be comfortable in a physically demanding environment:
- Standing for extended periods.
- Lifting and moving materials regularly.
