What You’ll Do:
As an Independent Living Instructor, you’ll provide one-on-one support to clients in their homes and communities, helping them build essential life skills such as:
- Budgeting and money management
- Scheduling and attending medical and dental appointments
- Meal planning and basic cooking
- Using public transportation
- Navigating housing options
- Maintaining Social Security, Medi-Cal, Medicare, and other benefits
- Practicing household safety and upkeep
- Building healthy relationships and community awareness
What You’ll Need:
- Must be 21+ years old
- Clear Live Scan (background check)
- Valid CA driver’s license & clean DMV record
- Reliable car, current insurance, and willingness to drive (mileage reimbursed)
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Verifiable references
