Job Summary

Duties
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries
- Conduct product demos when applicable to highlight features and benefits to customers
- Upsell complementary products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain the cash drawer’s accuracy through proper cash handling and balancing at shift end
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and support merchandising efforts to ensure an attractive store presentation
- Assist with stocking inventory, organizing displays, and ensuring retail store product knowledge is up-to-date
- Use phone etiquette skills to communicate professionally with customers or team members over the phone
- Promote store promotions and special offers through effective communication and sales techniques
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail environment preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations essential for smooth transaction processing
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience supervising or leading team members is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for retail math calculations such as making change or totaling sales
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills to engage customers confidently and relay product information clearly
