The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Specialist to lead and support automation, instrumentation, and electrical systems across our plant.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role responsible for keeping critical systems running safely and efficiently—while also driving upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot and optimize PLCs, HMIs, and control systems
- Support and improve plant-wide electrical and instrumentation systems
- Lead and support capital projects, upgrades, and system integrations
- Partner with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
- Oversee contractors and ensure quality project execution
- Maintain critical equipment (motors, switchgear, compressors, etc.)
- Support safety systems (ESD, gas detection, flame systems)
- Ensure compliance with NEC, EPA, PHMSA, and internal standards
What You Bring
- 8+ years in electrical controls/automation (chemical or process industry preferred)
- Strong PLC/DCS experience (Rockwell, GE, Emerson PAC8000)
- Deep knowledge of industrial electrical systems and codes (NEC, ISA, IEC)
- Experience in hazardous environments and classified systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, lead projects, and drive improvements
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
