Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this versatile role, you will provide flexible classroom support across various age groups, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. Your primary focus will be to assist with daily activities, promote childhood development, and uphold classroom management standards. Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers by assisting with classroom activities, lesson plans, and child engagement strategies
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by adhering to childcare and pediatric first aid protocols
- Help manage behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment aligned with health and safety standards
- Follow mandated reporting laws to document any concerns regarding child welfare or safety issues
- Collaborate with team members to create inclusive learning experiences tailored to individual developmental needs
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or daycare settings preferred
- Hands-on experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and child development instruction techniques
- Experience in preschool, toddler care, babysitting, nannying or similar caregiving roles highly valued
- Certification in first aid and pediatric first aid required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are advantageous
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies and working within mandated reporting laws is essential
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds in a nurturing manner
