SW Funk is seeking a reliable and experienced Concrete Foreman to plan, organise, supervise, and perform on industrial construction projects. The Concrete Foreman will regularly lead a crew of 5–10 carpenters, finishers, and helpers in accordance with project plans and safety requirements.
As the Concrete Foreman, you will review project blueprints and layouts, estimate time and materials, develop work schedules, and inspect work areas. You will complete required paperwork such as timesheets, accident reports and work orders, evaluate staff performance, train team members, and maintain records of operation. The successful candidate will also monitor inventory levels and ensure work areas are properly maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply information from drawings and specifications.
- Identify and safely use appropriate hand and power tools.
- Build and brace concrete forms, cut and tie rebar, install anchor bolts.
- Demonstrate pouring and finishing concrete and applying epoxy grouts.
- Measure, cut, assemble, fasten, mark, and bore materials to construct frameworks.
Required Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum 4–5 years as a journeyman Form Carpenter or related field.
- At least 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum 2 years working in an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA and safe work practices.
- Good communication in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Competent in basic math for material take offs and calculations.
