Safety Assistant
Seahorse Transport – Brownsville, TX
Seahorse Transport is seeking a Safety Assistant to support our Safety Department with DOT compliance, driver support, accident documentation, and administrative duties. We are looking for a motivated, organized individual who is eager to learn and grow with our company.
Responsibilities
- Assist with DOT compliance and Driver Qualification Files (DQFs)
- Review driver logs and ELD records
- Schedule drug and alcohol testing
- Assist with driver orientation and training
- Maintain safety records and documentation
- Assist with accident investigations
- Communicate with drivers regarding safety and compliance
- Driver motivation.
Qualifications
- Transportation or office experience preferred
- DOT/FMCSA knowledge is a plus
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Schedule
Monday–Friday during regular business hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This position also requires participation in the Safety Department's on-call to provide after-hours, weekend, and emergency support as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
