Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Female Live-in Caregiver to provide compassionate, attentive care to a client in on Fridays through Sundays, once a month. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and supporting the client’s overall health and comfort. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, or home health environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including help with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor the client’s health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support the client with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed accurately.
- Facilitate patient transfer methods using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety during mobility.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization tasks.
- Offer companionship and emotional support while respecting the client’s privacy and dignity.
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, dementia, or Alzheimer’s disease.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring, medication administration, CPR, first aid, and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with care plans, hospice care, memory care, and assisted living environments.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and effectively using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals.
- Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
- Competence in meal preparation, personal transportation assistance, and supporting residents’ <PERSON>’s needs in community settings.
