Director of Operations
Job Overview:
The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the front of house and kitchen operations of multiple units within one brand. This role is the leader for the operations team, and with their support, the Director of Operations will guide the brand forward as it continues to grow locally in the VA, MD, and DC area. This role is well suited for an individual that has experience mentoring and leading teams towards a common goal. This is a hands-on position that will require working side by side with individuals at all levels of the organization. A keen attention to detail will go a long way and further the success in this role.
Duties:
- Lead the overall operations and development of a growing multi-unit brand
- Provide leadership and direction to the operations team
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, partners, and clients
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functioning of all units
- Implement strategic planning to align operational activities with company objectives
- Perform evaluations of various management teams
- Implement systems as company evolves to enhance operational efficiency at all levels
- Direct the onboarding, training, and development of management teams
- Monitor controllable costs to operate within budget
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles, preferably as a Director of Operations or similar multi-unit position
- Must be detail-oriented and able to problem-solve within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
- Self-starter able to learn quickly and pivot as necessary
- Open availability with a flexible schedule that is dictated by company needs
- Able to work as a hands-on leader
