Minimum Qualifications:
One of the following:

Graduate of an accredited Vascular Tech program

One year of field experience if not a graduate of a school designed for vascular technology
In addition, 100 or more studies each performed in carotid duplex, venous duplex and arterial non-imaging exams to ensure Clinical competency in carotid duplex, arterial non-imaging, and lower extremity venous duplex
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
BLS
One of the following:
-
Registered Vascular Technologist through ARDMS
-
Registered Vascular Sonographer through CCI
If not currently registered:
-
Must be registry eligible at time of placement in position
-
Registry must be obtained within 6 months of placement in position
Responsibilities:
Learns to perform diagnostic vascular procedures according to hospital and accreditation standards and providing an accurate preliminary interpretation.
