Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Waxing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in body waxing and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a studio environment. As a Sugarista with Sugaring NYC, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality waxing services while ensuring client comfort and satisfaction.
Duties
- Performing services that meet the quality and time standards of our studio and follow protocols.
- Provide education to clients on what services we offer; full body sugaring for women and men, lash lifting and tinting, brow tinting, brow lamination, and more.
- Communicate with clients throughout their experience with us to guide them and set expectations for service.
- Professional attitude with a drive to succeed as a team as well as an individual.
- Effective time management in a fast-paced industry.
- Sharing product knowledge with clients based on their needs and closing retail sales.
- Promptly turning over the treatment room after servicing.
- Sanitation of treatment room between clients and each evening at closing.
- Promoting proper maintenance to clients.
- Follow communication guidelines to cultivate a positive work environment and seamless client experience.
- Tailor each guest’s experience to their needs.
- General cleaning duties include, but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, sanitizing, laundry, etc.
- Actively participate in a team setting to further the success of each team member and as a studio overall.
- Maintain AL state license and cleanliness of room and equipment per state requirements.
- Perform various body waxing services, including but not limited to eyebrows, legs, arms, and bikini areas.
Skills
- Proven experience in body waxing or related beauty services.
- Must be passionate about beauty and skincare.
- Must be comfortable performing a wide range of waxing services, including full-body, facial and intimate waxing.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices in a salon environment.
- Basic understanding of cosmetology principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced studio setting.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients.
- Skilled in sugaring technique preferred but not required
