McKnight Place Extended Care is a premier skilled nursing community with over 30 years of excellence in senior living. We are looking for an energetic, compassionate Activity Assistant who wants to make a real difference in the lives of our residents every day.
What You'll Do:
Plan and assist with group and individual resident activities.
Conduct daily room visits with activity carts for one-on-one engagement.
Encourage resident participation and build meaningful connections
Assist residents with mobility throughout the community including pushing wheelchairs.
Maintain activity spaces and document resident participation.
Occasionally care for facility animals as part of the activities program.
What We're Looking For:
Warm, resident-focused personality with a reliable and adaptable work style.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required.
Comfortable with the physical demands of the role including walking, bending, and pushing wheelchairs.
Previous experience in senior living or dementia care is a plus but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Reliable transportation required.
