We are a friendly, local Japanese restaurant in High Point looking for a reliable and friendly Cashier to join our small team. We have a welcoming work environment, and many of our staff members stay with us for years.
What we are looking for:
- No experience needed — we are happy to train the right person.
- Reliable and punctual — someone who shows up on time and is dependable.
- Friendly and comfortable communicating with customers.
- Able to work at a good pace in a busy restaurant environment.
- Takes initiative — willing to stay busy, help out, and find the next task without always being told.
- Able to multitask and pay attention to details.
- Weekend availability, especially Friday and Saturday evenings, is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls and take takeout orders accurately.
- Handle customer payments and operate the register.
- Pack and check takeout orders for accuracy.
- Assist customers picking up orders.
- Keep the front counter and work area clean and organized.
- Help teammates with other front-of-house tasks when needed.
- We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is dependable, willing to learn, and works well as part of a small team.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
