Gameday Sports Academy is looking for new coaches to join our team for our Winter season! We are looking for people passionate about changing the lives of young athletes by 1) being highly knowledgeable as basketball teachers and 2) taking their position as a role model seriously.
Main Responsibilities:
- In-game coaching
- Create practice plans before practices
- Lead practices
- Engage and utilize your assistant coach (if you have one) to optimize your practices and game experiences
- Establish relationships with each kid on your team
Skills:
- Communicate professionally via email, phone and SMS
- Motivate and inspire the athletes
- Seize the opportunity to use the game of basketball to teach life lessons to help kids build character
Requirements:
- Be a team player: Make other coaches better. Consider coaches and staff. Support the team.
- Have positive energy
- Have a humble attitude= ready and eager to learn from anyone in your relentless pursuit to greatness (#P2G)
- Professional athletic attire at any and all GSA-related events (refer to dress code).
- Hungry to improve your basketball knowledge (X’s and O’s, skill development, and how to build a cohesive team) and coaching abilities for maximum impact on your players.
LOCATION: 3101 GILMORE AVE STE 100
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rates. Paid twice monthly. BOE
