The New Edge Learning Center is seeking two experienced, dependable, and passionate Lead Teachers to join our growing team. We are currently hiring for the following full-time positions:
- Pre-K Lead Teacher
- Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher
Position Overview
The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. The ideal candidate will be dependable, professional, energetic, and passionate about working with young children and supporting their growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate daily activities and lesson plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Provide attentive and nurturing care while supporting each child’s individual needs.
- Maintain appropriate classroom routines and effectively manage daily transitions.
- Observe and document children’s developmental progress.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, families, coworkers, and administration.
- Maintain required classroom records and documentation.
- Follow all MSDE Office of Child Care regulations and The New Edge Learning Center policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with administration and other team members.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
Qualifications
- Must meet MSDE Office of Child Care requirements for a Lead Teacher position.
- Previous experience working in a licensed child care center is preferred.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and classroom management.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Must be dependable, professional, patient, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and employment requirements.
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
