American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital position requiring 2 years of hospital-based case management experience and a CA RN license.

Acute Care Facility setting within the Case Management department

Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
-
Patient ratio of 1:20

Weekend rotation required to meet department needs

No floating expected

Epic EMR experience required

Active CA RN license required (pending license accepted if licensed by start date)

Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital Case Manager experience performing care coordination and discharge planning required

Hospital experience is mandatory

Epic charting system experience required

Prior travel nurse experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be screened by clinical team

2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, may include Charge RNs/Leads

Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, plan of care development, and utilization of InterQual criteria

Familiarity with CMS regulations and DRG (Diagnosis Related Groups) is relevant to this role

Scrubs or business attire accepted

RTO limited to no more than 7 days

Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

First-time travelers are accepted and will be screened by the clinical team

Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
