Grill Cook / Sandwich Maker Responsibilities
- Prepare sandwiches, wraps, paninis, burgers, steaks, chicken, and other grill items according to house recipes and quality standards
- Operate grill, flat top, fryer , and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Prep ingredients daily, including slicing meats, cheeses, vegetables, and stocking sandwich stations
- Maintain consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation during busy service periods
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines at all times
- Keep kitchen, grill area, prep stations, and storage areas clean and organized throughout shifts
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock items to management
- Receive and properly store deliveries using FIFO (first in, first out) procedures
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Assist with pizza toppings, fryer items, salads, or other kitchen duties as needed
- Ensure all orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a positive attitude and work cooperatively with kitchen and front counter staff
- Open and close kitchen stations according to daily procedures
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous grill, deli, sandwich shop, or restaurant kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure during peak hours
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
