Job Description:
The Office of Student Engagement and Campus Center is seeking a federal aid recipient for student employment. This position will be funded by federal work study dollars; only students that receive financial aid awards can be considered for this position. The Campus Center, housed within Hammond Hall, has been student-run since 1977 and has grown significantly over the past four decades, many changes have been made as the needs of our students change and grow. This building, however, still serves its original purpose and offers itself as a place where students can spend time socializing and expanding themselves outside the classroom. Hammond Hall houses everything from offices and services for students to the Gallucci-Cirio Library and the North Street Bistro.
The Information Desk is an area of the Campus Center and the Staff reports to the Associate Director of Campus Center Operations.

A successful candidate will be able to perform the following requirements:

- Assist with the operation of the Information Desk.

Provide friendly quality customer service to patrons.

Provide patrons information to the correct and appropriate resource through clerical duties such answering phones and emails.

Maintain a clean, organized and professional appearance to the desk.

Keep the brochure rack clean and stocked.

Update the Rave Alert system with faculty absences and class cancellations, as necessary.

Strong computer and typing/record-keeping skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Stamp and distribute posters around Hammond.

Other duties as assigned.
Additional Information:
Shift Information: This is a part-time, non-benefited student only position and the hourly rate is $15.00. Employees should expect to work at least 8, but no more than 20, hours per week at $15.00 per hour.
