Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Cook dishes with precision, ensuring consistency, presentation, and flavor are maintained at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including dishwashing duties and sanitation procedures
- Support menu planning by preparing ingredients efficiently for upcoming service periods
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling protocols and hygiene practices
- Assist in catering events or special functions as needed to ensure timely service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
Skills
- Minimum 6 months casual and/or fine dining restaurant experience required; 1 year preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary fundamentals
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience working in restaurants or the food industry, demonstrating reliability and teamwork
- Ability to perform food service tasks efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Knowledge of menu planning, food presentation, and catering operations is a plus
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks effectively
