Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations by managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow. Your enthusiasm and excellent customer service skills will set the tone for an outstanding dining experience, fostering a lively and inviting atmosphere that keeps guests excited to return.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly with a lively attitude, making them feel immediately welcome and appreciated
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring accurate seating assignments
- Coordinate with the restaurant team to optimize seating flow and reduce wait times during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation procedures in the host station and waiting areas to ensure food safety standards are met
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times, menu specials, and restaurant policies in an engaging manner
- Assist with maintaining food safety practices by adhering to sanitation procedures and supporting overall food safety management efforts
- Support team members by providing excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries promptly, and ensuring a positive dining environment
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a desire to learn are essential
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety management practices is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems or willingness to learn new technology quickly
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain energetic for extended periods during busy shifts
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
