Texas Suits is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated full-time Litigation Paralegal to join our growing high-volume debt collection and civil litigation team.
This position is designed for someone with 3–5 years of litigation experience who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can independently manage a large docket, and is comfortable balancing drafting, client communication, collections efforts, and court coordination on a daily basis.
While our practice is primarily debt collection and civil litigation, we also handle probate matters, and this area is expected to grow. The successful candidate should expect to assist with probate work as part of their regular duties. Prior probate experience is a plus but is not required.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who is proactive, accountable, highly organized, and capable of managing deadlines and responsibilities independently.
Responsibilities
- Draft standardized original petitions, motions for summary judgment, motions for default judgment, proposed orders, and related litigation documents using firm templates and procedures
- Prepare, revise, and file standardized pleadings and court filings
- Coordinate filings, hearings, and communication with clerks and courts
- Manage deadlines and maintain accurate case management systems
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding case updates and collections efforts
- Assist with settlement and collections negotiations
- Handle high-volume workflows and active case dockets
- Coordinate service, citations, defaults, and post-judgment procedures
- Assist with probate matters, including preparing and filing related documents and tracking applicable deadlines
- Maintain consistent communication with attorneys, staff, clients, and opposing counsel
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of civil litigation paralegal experience required
- Prior experience in debt collection or high-volume litigation strongly preferred
- Experience handling standardized litigation drafting and filings independently
- Experience managing large active caseloads and deadlines without constant supervision
- Comfortable handling high call volume and client communication
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent grammar, writing, and communication abilities
- Experience communicating with courts, clerks, and legal staff professionally
- Proficiency with case management software, task management platforms, Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe, and other legal technology systems
- Familiarity with Texas state court filing procedures preferred
Preferred (Not Required)
- Probate experience, including estate administration and probate court filings
- Familiarity with Texas probate procedures and the Texas Estates Code

Compensation & Benefits
