The iconic Land of Make Believe, located in Hope NJ, is seeking an Assistant Waterpark Manager to join our team. Under the direction of Ownership you will create a safe, family friendly and fun atmosphere for our patrons, as well as an engaging learning culture for the seasonal lifeguard staff.
Job Functions:
· Oversee staff of 30+ lifeguards
· Meet and exceed all Starguard Elite guidelines including such items as record keeping, in-service, and EAPs
· Conduct training for all lifeguards and waterslide attendants
· Follow all NJ Health department guidelines
· Maintain first-aid and aquatic supplies
· Lead first aid team
· Maintain park cleanliness
· Maintain patron compliance and happiness
· Keep up with general water park maintenance
· Responsible for opening and closing procedures
Qualifications:
· Leadership, organizational, communication and problem solving skills required
· Strong customer service skills required
· Prior waterpark or aquatics experience (preferred)
· Current lifeguard or CPR skills (preferred)
· On the Job training available
Work conditions and Schedule:
· Exposure to extreme temperatures and weather to be expected as job occurs mostly outdoors
· Summer weekends and holidays required
· Offseason 45 hours per week
· Operational season work week will be over 50+ hours including some nights
