Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience operating cargo vans or similar vehicles, possess strong driving skills, and be capable of moderate lifting and moving items as needed.
Duties
- Safely operate a cargo van for route driving and deliveries
- Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques
- Ensure accurate loading and proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit
- Deliver products to customers efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Assist with tasks such as moving inventory and organizing stock
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies during route driving
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries courteously upon delivery
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially with courier or route driving roles
- Experience operating cargo vans or similar commercial vehicles
- Ability to perform moderate lifting and moving of goods safely and efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to lifting, and vehicle operation
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to delivery schedules
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
