The Community Social Services Assistant will assist senior adults in being safely cared for in their own homes and avoid inappropriate facility placement. Provide personal care and other in-home services to support families in caring for older adults in their own home.
Work is done in the homes of those clients receiving these services. Some shopping and transporting is required as part of assigned work duties. A small amount of time is spent in the office to complete reports and communicate any issues or concerns to social worker or senior center leadership.
Ability, experience, and training to provide personal care services, to perform light housekeeping tasks, to transport clients safely and efficiently, to relate to clients served, to follow written and verbal directions, to record basic data, to report observations to supervisor, and to perform required physical tasks.
Demonstrated possession of abilities listed above. Requires Driver’s License and certification as a Nurse’s Aide I in North Carolina.
