Position Summary:
We are seeking a PART-TIME Group Therapist in our Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) specializing in mental health and substance use disorder treatment. (Total: 12 hours/week). ***Please note - this a a SHORT TERM position from June 1st 2026 - Aug 31st 2026***
The Group Therapist is responsible for conducting groups and working in collaboration with the Treatment team to support client’s needs.
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (1PM - 4PM)
Job Duties:
- Facilitate clinically-oriented group therapy for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
- Provide skill building, psycho-educational, and process-based groups
- Collaborate with clinical team members to help further treatment goals
- Complete group progress notes that provide detail on each clients’ participation, progress towards goals, and highlights medical necessity
- Maintain and model professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and confidentiality
- Maintain clinical records according to program policies and those of licensing and accrediting agencies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Masters Degree in mental health or related field required
- One to Three Years of work experience treating mental health disorders in a group setting.
- Well versed in a variety of modalities and have confidence integrating them into your treatment approach (DBT, CBT, EMDR, MI, Mindfulness, etc)
- Passionate about the benefits of group therapy and skilled in conducting group therapy
- Familiarity with and willingness to use cloud-based communication software
- Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) as a licensed therapist: LPC, LADC, LCSW, LMFT or Associate: AMFT, ACSW, APCC.
Time Commitment Total = Part Time: 12hrs/week total. **Short Term Position - June 1st - Aug 31st 2026****
Compensation: $35 - $45/ per hour
