Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality care for small animals. You will be performing technical procedures, animal handling, and client communication to ensure optimal health and well-being of our patients. Prior veterinary technician experience and knowledge of veterinary terminology are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures
- Perform animal restraint and handling using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff
- Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and interpret results to aid in diagnosis
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Maintain accurate medical records and document all procedures performed
- Assist with radiography including X-ray procedures while adhering to aseptic techniques
- Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures
- Provide pet care instructions to clients and educate them on animal health needs
- Maintain cleanliness of the clinic environment following infection control protocols
Skills
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices and veterinary terminology
- Laboratory experience including sample collection and analysis
- Strong dog and cat handling skills and animal physiology knowledge
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures and aseptic techniques
- Ability to perform animal catheterization, drawl blood, and manage complex pet care routines
- Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration

Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
