Kool Runnings GA Inc. is looking for an experienced Intermodal Dispatcher/Fleet Operations Coordinator to oversee our current fleet of 5 trucks while helping us expand to 10–15 trucks.
This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants to grow with the company. We are seeking a self-motivated operations professional who can build efficient dispatch systems, support our drivers, and manage the day-to-day operations of an expanding fleet.
Responsibilities
- Dispatch and monitor company drivers.
- Coordinate container pickups and deliveries at rail terminals and customer locations.
- Schedule appointments and communicate with drivers throughout the day.
- Trace containers and monitor shipment status.
- Track Last Free Days (LFDs) and help prevent storage, detention, and demurrage charges.
- Verify BOLs, PODs, gate tickets, and delivery documents.
- Prepare and submit customer invoices.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable and run aging reports.
- Follow up on unpaid invoices and customer billing issues.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and operational reports.
- Communicate professionally with brokers, rail terminals, steamship lines, customers, and drivers.
- Identify operational improvements as the fleet grows.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of intermodal/drayage dispatch experience.
- Previous experience managing multiple trucks in a fast-paced operation.
- Strong understanding of rail operations, container logistics, and shipment tracing.
- Experience with customer billing, invoicing, and Accounts Receivable.
- Knowledge of detention, demurrage, storage charges, and Last Free Day management.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and dispatch software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with intermodal TMS software.
- Experience communicating with rail terminals, steamship lines, and major brokers.
- Leadership experience and a desire to grow with the company.
Compensation
Starting Salary: $1,000–$1,200 per week, based on experience.
As our fleet expands, there will be opportunities for salary increases, performance bonuses, and advancement into a senior operations management role.
