Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. Duties
- Lead the electrical design process for systems including PCB layout, schematic development, and integration of FPGA, SoC (System on Chip), and microcontroller components using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
- Develop detailed project schedules to ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones while coordinating cross-disciplinary teams for seamless project execution.
- Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis to troubleshoot electrical system issues, implementing corrective actions to optimize performance and reliability.
- Design and verify electrical systems in accordance with industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 compliance requirements.
- Perform engineering testing, validation, and debugging of prototypes using tools like oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, signal processing equipment, and simulation software including MATLAB and Simulink.
- Oversee manufacturing processes related to surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and circuit assembly to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate on system development verification activities for control systems, automation projects, and communications systems expertise, utilizing programming languages such as C++, Python, Perl, and scripting for automation tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a strong focus on electronics design and system development verification.
- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on electrical systems design and troubleshooting.
- Extensive knowledge of PCB design, schematic capture, CAD software (AutoCAD Revit, MicroStation), and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink).
- Hands-on experience with FPGA development using SystemVerilog or VHDL; familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical building codes, NFPA standards, surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and surface-mount component assembly.
- Proficiency in control systems engineering including ARM-based microcontrollers such as Arduino or similar platforms; experience with firmware development is a plus.
- Ability to perform detailed root cause analysis using debugging tools; experience with vision inspection systems and industrial automation is advantageous.
- Excellent skills in electrical schematic design, system integration, signal processing, and engineering troubleshooting using simulation tools like MATLAB or Python scripting.
- Mechanical knowledge related to mechanical engineering principles that support electrical system integration is beneficial.
