Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage reservations and waiting lists with organizational precision using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring smooth seating flow and comfort
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables promptly after guests depart
- Assist servers by clearing used dishes and refilling water or bread baskets to enhance guest satisfaction
- Support food safety standards by adhering to proper sanitation procedures and restaurant policies
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate seating, guest needs, and service flow
- Handle guest inquiries courteously via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
Experience
- Prior experience as a Host or in a customer-facing food service role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are vital for success in this energetic environment
- Experience in guest services, hospitality, or hotel settings will be considered a plus
- Knowledge of food safety practices and organizational skills will help ensure smooth service flow
- Previous experience working with serving staff or in a restaurant environment enhances your ability to excel in this role
