Jr/Sr High School Associate — 7.5 Hours/Day (37.5 Hours/Week)
POSITION OVERVIEW
East Marshall CSD is seeking a dedicated and caring Jr/Sr High School Associate to support student learning and well-being in our school. This full-time classified position (7.5 hours per day / 37.5 hours per week) works under the direction of licensed staff and building administration to provide meaningful support to students in academic and supervisory settings.
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS

High school diploma or equivalent — Required

Ability to pass required background checks

Strong, supportive, and caring disposition toward students of all abilities and backgrounds

Ability to take direction from and collaborate effectively with licensed classroom teachers and building administration
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Experience working with Jr/Sr High school-age students in an educational setting — preferred
-
Experience supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, or social-emotional needs — preferred
-
Paraeducator or educational associate training — preferred

Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students — preferred

Strong communication skills and professional judgment
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Work individually with students to support progress toward academic goals as directed by the classroom teacher

Facilitate and support small-group instruction and learning activities

Provide supervision of students in classrooms, hallways, lunchroom, recess, and other school settings

Assist students with tasks, assignments, and routines as needed

Support a safe, positive, and orderly learning environment

Communicate student needs and observations to the supervising teacher and/or building administration

Maintain confidentiality regarding students and school matters

Other duties as assigned
PAY SCALE

High School Diploma - starts at $15 / hour. Para Certificate - starts at $15.25 / hour. 2 or 4 year degree - starts at $15.50 / hour.
