Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Move Coordinator to lead and streamline relocation and logistics operations within our supply chain network. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of moving activities, ensuring seamless transitions for equipment, inventory, and materials across multiple facilities. Your expertise in logistics management, warehouse distribution, and transportation planning will drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational performance. Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of move operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication with internal teams and external vendors.
- Manage inventory control during relocations to prevent loss or damage while maintaining accurate records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
- Oversee shipping logistics, including freight arrangements, shipping & receiving processes, and compliance with international trade regulations when applicable.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source packaging materials, materials handling equipment such as forklifts, and other necessary resources for moves.
- Optimize transportation management systems (TMS) for efficient transportation planning and freight management.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols during moves, including proper materials handling and forklift operation.
- Analyze move data using supply chain analytics tools to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all move activities, including dispatching schedules, order fulfillment records, and inventory updates.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics coordination within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong background in inventory management, warehouse distribution, and operations management.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle), and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of freight forwarding, shipping logistics, 3PL providers, NVOCC operations (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and international trade regulations.
- Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment like forklifts and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Demonstrated ability in process improvement initiatives using data analysis skills to enhance efficiency.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in dispatching, order picking & packing, sourcing, procurement, and demand planning.
- Technical proficiency in supply chain software applications such as AS400 or similar platforms.
