Duties
- Install, rotate, balance, and repair tires on a variety of vehicles, including passenger cars and light trucks
- Perform wheel alignments to optimize vehicle handling and tire longevity
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, fluid replacements, and minor mechanical repairs
- Diagnose automotive issues using specialized tools and equipment to identify necessary repairs or replacements
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete mechanical tasks with precision
- Assist customers by explaining services performed, offering recommendations for tire care, and answering questions about vehicle maintenance
- Lift heavy tires and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols to prevent injuries
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a focus on tire service and vehicle maintenance
- Strong mechanical knowledge of standard passenger cars and basic automotive diagnostics
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and automotive diagnostic equipment
- Experience with automotive fluid replacement, oil changes, and minor mechanical repairs
- Ability to perform wheel alignments and other mechanical repairs accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during busy shifts
