Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review
- Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
- Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support the dental team with general dentistry procedures, maintaining a smooth workflow and excellent patient experience
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and record management
- Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical coding
- Skilled in chairside assisting, medical records review, and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems usage
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment accurately
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
