About UtiliSave
Join a team that has delivered over $700 million in refunds and savings to clients—and help us reach $1 billion. For over three decades, UtiliSave has been a leader in utility bill auditing and cost recovery. We’re a fully remote team of approximately 35 professionals, and we’re in the middle of a significant technology transformation—modernizing our CRM on Microsoft Dynamics 365, rolling out AI-powered auditing tools on AWS, and expanding our Microsoft 365 platform capabilities across the organization.
About the Role
This is a technical, hands-on role, not a helpdesk-only position. You'll be the first point of contact for IT support and vendor issues, and you'll work directly alongside our developers — supporting testing, catching issues early, and picking up technical work as your capacity and skills grow. Reports to the Technology Lead.
Key Responsibilities
● Handle day-to-day IT support requests — M365 account setups, email configuration, access and permissions, hardware/software troubleshooting — as the first point of contact for the team.
● Serve as the primary point of contact for IT vendor communication — hosting, infrastructure, and software vendors.
● Maintain JIRA hygiene on IT and development tickets: creation, grooming, and status accuracy.
● Work hands-on alongside our developers — supporting testing and validation, executing test cases, and tracking issues through to resolution.
● Track and follow up on open IT tickets and requests, keeping response times tight.
● Maintain IT systems documentation — access lists, configurations, runbooks — keeping it current.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in an IT support, systems administration, or technical operations role.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration—Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver low-code solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, and/or Power BI in a business environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar CRM platforms—administration, configuration, or end-user support.
- Working experience with Jira or a comparable work-tracking platform.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues.
- Self-starter mentality—comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment and owning problems through to resolution.
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop or similar cloud desktop environments is a plus.
- Microsoft certifications (MS-900, PL-200, MD-102, or equivalent) are a plus but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required—equivalent hands-on experience accepted.
Requirements
● 4+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration.

● Experience working with JIRA or a similar ticketing/work-tracking tool.
● Comfortable communicating directly with external vendors on technical and account matters.
● Basic understanding of testing/QA practices — able to execute test cases and document issues clearly.
● Experience with AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code is preferred.
● Strong organizational skills and follow-through; comfortable managing multiple concurrent requests.
● Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable working directly with developers on technical issues.
