Title: Sales Associate
Location: Sparta, MI
Compensation: $75k base + commission (OTE ~$165k)
About the Role
We’re looking for a high-performing Sales Associate to join our team in Sparta, MI. This is a dual-impact role where you will act as the primary client-facing member of our team, managing the lifecycle of commercial and industrial painting projects from initial estimate through to final completion.

Compensation & Benefits
- OTE (On-Target Earnings): ~$165,000 per year
- Base Salary: $75,000
- Commission: 4% of target sales ($2M annual sales goal)

Key Responsibilities
- Estimation: Accurately estimate costs for commercial painting projects (labor, equipment, and materials) and respond to RFPs/bids.
- Project Oversight: Ensure projects are performed accurately, safely, and within budget (Target: 45% Gross Margin).
- Business Development: Attend trade shows and networking events to improve brand image and secure new project opportunities.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and grow relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
- Logistics: Order materials and manage equipment rentals for active projects.
- CRM Management: Track all leads, opportunities, and key metrics via the company CRM.
Qualifications
- Experience: Strong knowledge of construction materials and methods (Commercial/Industrial painting experience preferred).
- Sales Drive: Proven ability to hit sales targets and negotiate effectively.
- Collaboration: A team player who can work seamlessly with Project Managers and Foremen.
- Requirements: Must maintain a clean MVR record for insurance coverage to drive the company vehicle.
- Growth Mindset: Willingness to engage in continuous learning through company-provided books and development courses.
Work Schedule & Environment
- In-office role based in Sparta, MI, with active time spent in the field at client sites.
- Peak season (April–September) may require additional travel and hours to meet project demands.
