We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of commercial and institutional electrical construction projects.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will possess strong understanding of electrical systems, leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Develop project schedule, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
- Supervise field personnel and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Monitor project costs, prepare forecasts, and manage change orders.
- Review contracts, drawings, and specifications for completeness and constructability.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company policies.
- Resolve project issues proactively to minimize delays and cost impacts.
- Review and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Prepare and submit bids on time, ensuring compliance with all bid requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager (minimum 5 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar construction management software
- Familiar with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication, organization, negotiation, and leadership skills
Preferred:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field OR equal professional experience.+
- Knowledge of Accubid estimating software is strongly preferred. Proficiency in alternate estimating software considered.
