Provide medical assistance to the ill and injured that are in medical distress on scene or in route to hospitals. Responsible for the initial assessment of a patient’s condition, management of condition, preparation for transport, transfer of information and compassionate patient care. Must also operate and maintain cleanliness of emergency vehicles and equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide medical assistance during emergency situations to the ill and injured within their scope of care as outlined by the Heartland EMS, Inc. Protocol Manual

Responsible for daily station duties and general grounds upkeep

Participate in other EMS related functions as required and assigned

Responsible for correctly completing all paperwork and reports
-
Responsible for maintaining a professional attitude in all HEMS related activities

Required to respond to the station in the event of a disaster

Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicles, medical and communication equipment and replenish first-aid equipment and supplies

All other duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum age: 20

Valid & current State of Georgia Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician

Valid & current Class C Georgia Driver’s License.

Valid & Current CPR card
-
Pass drug & background screen
