Senator John Kennedy seeks an experienced chief counsel for his Washington, D.C. office. The chief counsel will manage the Senator’s legislative portfolio for the Senate Committee on the Judiciary. Primary responsibilities include advising the Senator on all matters in the Judiciary portfolio, developing and advancing conservative legislative proposals, representing the Senator before constituents and stakeholders, conducting oversight of federal agencies including DOJ, FBI, and BOP, and supervising staff. The ideal candidate will have prior Hill experience (though not required), a law license, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
