POSITION OVERVIEW
The Electrical Prefab Detailer is responsible for reviewing construction documents and transforming project requirements into accurate, build-ready prefabrication packages. This role works closely with Project Managers, field leadership, and the prefab/manufacturing team to identify prefab opportunities, reduce jobsite risk, improve efficiency, and ensure materials and assemblies are delivered on schedule and error-free.
This position plays a critical role in driving productivity, cost control, and quality through proactive planning and detailed coordination.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify electrical prefabrication opportunities.

Develop accurate prefab design packages and build sheets for manufacturing.

Prepare and assist with material takeoffs and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for prefab assemblies.

Coordinate with project managers, field teams, and the prefab shop to support installation sequencing and project timelines.

Schedule and track prefab orders, deliveries, and fabrication timelines.

Communicate material availability, fabrication status, and delivery logistics with project teams.

Recommend prefab assemblies and installation strategies that improve safety, efficiency, and jobsite productivity.

Collaborate with project management, field operations, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy and alignment.

Experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Knowledge of electrical materials and installation methods.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.
