Ashton North is conducting a confidential search for an Inventory Control / Cycle Counter on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organization in the Cleveland area.

What You'll Do
As the Inventory Control / Cycle Counter, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory throughout the warehouse and production operations. Your work will directly support manufacturing efficiency, inventory integrity, and on-time customer fulfillment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform scheduled daily cycle counts throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system.
- Research shortages, overages, and inventory variances while escalating issues when appropriate.
- Verify product identification, locations, lot codes, and inventory accuracy.
- Generate inventory reports and complete inventory adjustments following established procedures.
- Work closely with warehouse, production, purchasing, and supply chain teams to resolve inventory issues.
- Open cartons and containers to verify quantities as needed.
- Report damaged materials and inventory inconsistencies.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when required.
- Help improve inventory accuracy and support continuous process improvements.
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates will bring:
- At least one year of warehouse or inventory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous cycle counting or inventory control experience strongly preferred.
- Experience using an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, IFS, Epicor, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Confidence navigating ERP transactions and researching inventory discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly across multiple departments.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
- Excellent attendance and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior manufacturing experience.
- Forklift experience.
- Experience working in inventory, warehouse operations, or materials management.
