Classes meet once per week starting the week of August 17th, 2026.
About Us
A Plus Learning Club is an after-school enrichment program dedicated to helping students ages 5–18 reach their full academic potential. Our curriculum focuses on critical thinking and skill application across mathematics, writing, reading comprehension, and vocabulary. We also offer specialized test prep (TJ, AOS, AET, SAT, ACT) and summer camps.
Position Overview
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 / hour (Tiered pay chart based on experience and class size)
Hours: 5–7 expected hours per week (Up to 2–4 hours of homework grading included)
Schedule: Weekday evenings (Night Shift) or Weekends
Location: In-person
Key Responsibilities
Teach structured English/Language Arts lessons (essay writing, grammar, reading comprehension, and vocabulary) to classes of up to 35 students (K-12).
Prepare for each lesson in advance using our fully provided curriculum and answer keys.
Grade weekly homework assignments.
Bonus: Opportunities to teach summer courses or take on additional hours if desired!
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Required).
Experience: At least 1 year of classroom English teaching experience required (K-12 online or in-person).
Skills: Strong background in English/Language Arts. Experience with SAT Math & Reading is preferred!
Licensing: Teaching Certification is preferred, but not required.
Language: Native or fluent English speaker.
