Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance with product selection, gardening tips, and landscape maintenance advice
- Demonstrate expertise in plant identification, floral design, lawn care, and horticulture to educate customers effectively
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cashiering, cash handling, and retail math calculations
- Maintain organized stock levels through stocking, merchandising, and inventory management to ensure an appealing store layout
- Assist customers with e-commerce orders and inquiries to enhance their shopping experience both online and in-store
- Support store cleanliness and organization by managing floral displays, gardening sections, and seasonal merchandise
- Communicate product features and benefits clearly to promote sales and foster customer loyalty
Skills
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, gardening techniques, landscape maintenance, and floral design
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities
- Proven retail sales experience with a focus on customer service excellence
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Ability to identify plants quickly and accurately to assist customers confidently
- Organizational skills for stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and managing inventory efficiently
