As a Locum NP or PA, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our esteemed cardiothoracic surgical team. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring successful outcomes for patients undergoing procedures in this specialized field.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients

Assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures and post-operative care

Collaborate with surgeons and medical professionals for optimal patient outcomes

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary

Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Provide crucial support during pre-operative evaluations

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license

Experience in cardiothoracic surgery or related fields preferred

Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Schedule: 12, 13, or 24-hour shifts
Daily Census: 3-6 patients + consults
16-bed ICU
APP is only responsible for surgical aspects of ICU
Skills Needed: ECMO, ventricular support, central and arterial lines, catheter insertion/removal
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
