Overview
We are looking for a Medical Assistant with Phlebotomy expertise, to work on an Internal Medicine Practice located in Lake Worth where your skills will directly impact patient care and streamline clinical operations.. You will be essential in providing compassionate patient service.
Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples and accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms.
- Support clinical operations by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing medical supplies.
- Document patient information meticulously within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with privacy standards.
- Administer some injections under physician supervision while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage medical records and documentation efficiently, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Strong computer, written skills and medications Prior Authorization experience
- Answer phone calls respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely maner send medications refills to pharmacies
- Educate patient on preventive care health managment and wellness topics
- Qualifications
- Proven with at least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Bilingual English Spanish
- Phlebotomy Technician with demonstrated proficiency in blood collection techniques.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and management of electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong communication skills with a passion for delivering outstanding patient care and support across diverse populations
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
