Duties
- Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and hook-and-chain models, to recover and transport vehicles of various sizes and types
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after towing to identify mechanical issues or damages
- Load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, or forklifts when necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining services, and addressing concerns professionally
- Utilize automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues or assist with vehicle repairs on-site when required
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including details of the vehicle condition, location, and services provided
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe operations at all times
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmissions preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and diagnostics
- Familiarity with automotive systems such as brakes, engines, transmissions, and electrical components
- Experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, forklifts, or similar heavy-duty equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts calmly and professionally
- Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Mechanical experience or background as a mechanic is highly desirable
