A unique opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to provide coverage for a maternity leave this upcoming school year. Located near Oak Lawn and close to Evergreen Park, this contract role spans from August 10 through September 30, offering a focused and rewarding experience working with high school students.
In this pivotal position, you will be teaching English 3 in both co-taught and self-contained classroom settings. The role requires an adaptable, student-centered educator with strong classroom management and collaborative skills. Qualifications:
- Active LBS1 certification required
- Experience in special education, particularly at the high school level
- Proficiency with co-teaching models as well as leading self-contained classes
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly integrate into existing team and classroom routines
- Commitment to fostering student independence and academic success
Key Responsibilities:
