Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing guest amenities.
- Perform floor care duties such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Restock towels, linens, toiletries, and other guest amenities.
- Remove trash and soiled linens from guest rooms and housekeeping carts.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged furniture, missing items, and safety hazards promptly.
- Follow all housekeeping procedures, hotel standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Perform deep cleaning projects, including upholstery, windows, walls, baseboards, vents, and other assigned tasks.
- Properly use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with OSHA and hotel safety guidelines.
- Maintain housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and linen closets in a clean and organized manner.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or housekeeping services.
- Work efficiently to meet daily room quotas while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist fellow housekeeping team members during high occupancy periods and special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous hotel housekeeping, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
- Knowledge of hospitality cleaning standards and proper sanitation practices.
- Experience using commercial cleaning equipment and chemicals is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and reliability.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding guest service.
- Ability to communicate professionally with guests, coworkers, and management.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, twist, and reach for extended periods.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Push loaded housekeeping carts throughout the property.
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments throughout the shift.
- Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions, including high temperatures, rain, wind, and cold, as some guest rooms are accessed from exterior walkways.
- Ability to climb stairs multiple times throughout the day.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and according to business needs.
