We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing ultrasound procedures and be flexible in assisting with other imaging patients as needed. This role offers consistent hours with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and ensuring efficient operation of the imaging department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ultrasound Imaging:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders.
- Ensure images are clear, accurate, and meet the required standards for diagnostic purposes.
- Review patient history and prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Patient Care:
- Provide compassionate and patient-centered care, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients during procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of examination rooms and equipment.
- Additional Imaging Support:
- Assist with other imaging patients when ultrasound duties are completed or as needed.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Documentation:
- Accurately document procedures, findings, and patient information in the medical records system.
- Assist in the management of patient records and imaging results.
Qualifications:
- Education & Certification:
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program.
- Current licensure as an Ultrasound Technician in Texas.
- CPR/BLS certification is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician is preferred
- Experience in a clinical setting with a variety of imaging modalities is a plus.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and performing a wide range of ultrasound procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time schedule with hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday-Friday.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift or move equipment and patients as necessary.
- May require occasional travel between locations, as needed.
