NextCare is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Fort Worth, Texas.

- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
- Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
- Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting, and incision and drainage, as applicable
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
- Code and bill services appropriately
- Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
- Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
- Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license
- Nurse Practitioners must hold ANCC or AANP certification; Family Nurse Practitioner certification is required
- Physician Assistants must hold active NCCPA certification
- Active DEA license or ability to obtain
- Ability to treat patients of all ages
- Active BLS certification
- EHR proficiency
- Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
- DOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees are covered
- Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
- Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care
- Experience with initial x-ray interpretation before radiology over-read
